Our High Priest ©Aaron JohnsonI was inspired to create this image after seeing an Ethiopian Iconography of Christ. I got the idea of merging concepts of that Iconography with a traditional western painting of Christ, in which Christ is shown with his hands raised and the sun is shining in the background behind his head. My figure would maintain that same pose, but have the skin complexion of the Ethiopian variant, as well as the T-shaped formation of it’s eyes and nose (as shown in most Byzantine stylized iconography). This was created entirely on Clip Studio Paint.
